1. To ensure that the location has implemented adequate policies and procedures regarding IT general controls.
2. To determine that adequate controls are in place and are functioning properly to ensure the data center, tape library, and off-site data storage facility are physically and environmentally secure.
3. To determine that adequate data backup and restoration procedures are in place to ensure that critical applications can be recovered in an emergency situation.
4. To ensure that adequate data security controls have been implemented to prevent unauthorized on-line access to critical application data.
