The following is an example of a major recovery on a large cost-plus construction contract that will be discussed during our “ Effective Auditing of Construction Activity ” seminar.  The contractor billed $100 million for wages plus an estimated labor burden percentage to cover cost of payroll taxes and worker's compensation insurance.  The audit documented that the estimated percentage used to bill for labor burden was approximately 10% overstated, resulting in a cost recovery of approximately $10 million

Numerous examples of significant cost recovery audit findings and the audit steps used to develop those cost recovery findings will be discussed during this seminar.
