Seems like the best ways to audit this would be
1. Confirmations
2. Data analytics testing to identify false vendors
3. Access controls to server, firewalls etc.
AuditNet is working with several vendors to develop data analytic enabled audit programs. These should be available over the next several months.
We will also be offering fraud related webinars although they may not be as specific as the areas you raised.

[quote="delainem"]Does anyone have a good audit program and testing guidance to determine if Vendor Fraud or illegal wire fraud/tapping has taken place?
Indicators would include:
- Setting up and opening fake bank accounts
- Setting up fake Vendor names
- Financial institutions providing interstate commerce for fake vendor services/payments
in other states
- Mail and Wire Fraud (including international wire disbursements and transfers)
- Obtaining and setting up fake identities
- Illegal assess to and illegally accessing a restrictive company website to change
Vendor information and eVendor Agreements
Please let me know as soon as you can.
