Editorial Guidelines


AuditNet welcomes contributions from professionals with expertise related to auditing, accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley, IT, security, and other audit-related topics.

 

Our users encompass a broad spectrum of organizations and practitioners from entry-level to middle and senior management in the private sector, public sector, and associations with interests in improving their organizations through effective and efficient auditing.

 

AuditNet delivers content rich, how-to articles and resources to help our users reach their goals.

General Guidelines

 

It is assumed that any article submitted to us for publication is your work and if not yours and clearance is required, by the author’s agency or organization, you are authorized to submit it for publication, and are giving AuditNet non-exclusive rights to publish it. We accept new and previously published articles between 500 and 1,000 words. Articles must be written in plain language with proper English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and sentence structure. Your article must be proofed and double checked for accuracy. If English is not your first language, please have your article proofed by someone who is a native English speaker prior to submission. All articles must be submitted in Microsoft® Word format. All articles are reviewed by an editor. If your article is published, we will include your 20-30 word byline. Please include it when submitting your article.

 

Reprints

 

Articles that appear on the AuditNet site and in the AuditNet newsletter may be reprinted only with written permission of the AuditNet editor. In the case of contributed articles, additional permission of the author or organization may be required.

 

To receive permission to reprint an article, please send your request via e-mail editor@auditnet.org, fax (703) 991-0876 or surface mail to AuditNet, P.O. Box 452  Oakton, VA 22124.

 

The request must include the following information:

 

Title of the original article

Author of the original article if identified

Date/issue where the article first appeared

Contact name, address, phone, fax, and e-mail

 

Permission for reprints is granted at AuditNet’s discretion. Reprinting an article or story without permission is a violation of AuditNet’s copyright.
