Is the training program up to date? Does the training program emphasis lock out/tag out? Does the training program teach basic electrical theory? Does the training teach participants how to recognize and report electrical hazards? Are workers qualified if they are to work on energized circiuts? Do workers understand safe electrical work practices? Administrative Are electrical inspections conducted on a regular basis? Are inspectors certified in electrical operations? Are current training certificate maintained on file for all qualified workers? Is a review conducted for all electrical related injuries? Electrical Safety Equipment Lockout - Tagout material available and used? Are Volt/Ohm meters to check for potential available, in good condition and used properly? Are all classes of rubber gloves available for use? Are all classes of rubber gloves tested regularly? Are self tests of gloves conducted prior to use? Are rubber blankets and mats available? Are blankets and mats tested regularly? Are appropriate insulated tool available? Are insulated tools properly maintained? Are insulated tools maintained to appropriate standards? Are fiberglass ladders available for use? Are ladders maintained and in good repair Are appropriate barriers & signs established around electrical work areas? Do electrical installations conform to the all applicable codes and standards? Electrical Inspection Are all electrical panels & boxes properly labeled? Are all circuit breakers, controlers and disconnects properly labeled? Are all wires or circuits adequately guarded or covered? Do all tools and equipment have grounded type plugs? Is all wiring is in permanent conduit? Is the area safe from situations in which electrical cords can be damaged? Do any existing electrical cords exhibit any signs of damage?
