CAREER TIPS FOR AUDITORS

So much has changed in the 20 years I have helped individuals prepare resumes. Technology has both helped and complicated the process; computers make it easy to write, edit, produce, and customize resumes yet employers now
require many different forms and formats to meet their specialized recruitment requirements.

What hasn't changed in all these years is how often job seekers struggle while trying to write a resume that truly reflects their unique qualities.
Employers want job candidates that meet their job requirements. If your resume shows that you have what it takes to do the job, you'll spark their
interest. Here are some suggestions to help you do it:

1. Thoroughly research careers, the job market, and actual positions to identify specific jobs of interest.

3. Document your experience, education, and skills, paying close attention to your list of job requirements.

4. Format your resume to showcase how your qualifications match the job requirements.

5. Liberally include words that clearly identify how your credentials demonstrate your qualifications for the position.
