individuals such as Alexander the Great, Caesar, Napoleon, Winston
Churchill, JFK, Indira Gandhi and Margaret Thatcher to name but a few.
Leaders have many abilities such as the ability to inspire others and the
generation of trust. They also portray the image that they are balanced. The
individuals in the example above all had some sort of aura surrounding them.
Key ingredients to any successful leader are willing followers and the
ability to articulate a vision. AuditNet Job Listings (& more) Looking for an audit job? Think Carefully Before Saying Yes by Robbie Miller Kaplan Finding the "right job" can be as tough as finding the "right mate." Most people don't jump at the chance to pair up just because someone asks - and this should be true for the job offer too. Most people think carefully to identify and describe the qualities they desire in the "right mate." It is crucial to exert a similar effort when unemployed and seeking a new job. Looking for a job is too difficult to have to do all over again next year. For the rest of the tip click here! Good luck! The Auditor's Guide to Internet Resources, 2nd Edition! AuditNet® Internet Boot Camp for Auditors Searching by Keywords In order to be a successful searcher you have to know the right
keyword or combination of keywords to use for a search engine.
Choosing the right key word can open the lock for successful Internet
searches. That is why I recommend that auditors have a thesaurus or
synonym dictionary available for reference when searching. For example
how many ways can you think of when conducting a search for fraud or a
fraud guide? Here are a few examples besides the obvious “fraud” or “fraud
guide”: Wouldn’t it be nice if we had an online tool that provided
inter-relationships between words? Well actually there is a Web site
that was launched for this specific purpose and it is called KwMap (www.kwmap.com).
KwMap.com is a complex keyword refining tool, aiming to help you
discover new keywords. It is a fact that search engines can only help
you in finding something if you know the right keywords. KwMap.com runs on a multi-gigabyte database of keyword inter-relations. You can search all common concepts and you will be presented with related keywords. It then provides you with a list of links to related sites. Stay tuned for the next Internet boot camp tip from the auditing Internet guru! Collins Identity theft is rapidly becoming the most pervasive financial as
well as brutal crime to occur in the history of the United States.
Identity theft crimes undermine business and the economy of the entire
U.S. and facilitate acts of terror against U.S. citizens. Identity
theft is directly related to drug trafficking, money laundering and
organized crime (Collins & Hoffman, 2003a). Indeed, identity theft and
not terrorism may be called the crime of the 21st Century. Reprinted with permission from the Journal of Forensic Accounting published by R.T. Edwards, Inc. To read the rest of the story, click here! Software Compliance Audit News November 2003 Update Will you pass the Software Compliance test? by Rob Harmer
Many auditors are well aware of software licensing issues and the
requirements to manage your software licenses so that you can
demonstrate that you have legitimately purchased what you have
installed. However some auditors are not up to speed on the issues,
and some find it difficult to budget for resources (labor and
software tools) to enable checking to occur across an organization,
as it is not seen as a priority issue to consider.
If you can answer the following questions and are better than 90% confident you know what is installed can be verified by proof of purchase records etc , then don't bother taking the quiz! For the rest of the story click here.
