There are MANY Napster Clones, with more appearing daily!

Peer-to-peer services such as Gnutella and Freenet have been gaining mainstream momentum as web sites taht offer file sharing capabilities similar to Napster.  After closing down its file-sharing services due to similar copyright infringement issues, Scour plans to relaunch in March 2001.  CenterSpan Communications, bought the technology assets and brand name of Scour late last year, has started asking for online beta  testers to try out a new version of Scour's file- swapping service.  See http://two.digital.cnet.com/cgi-bin2/flo?y=eBU50HoiI0U0aSEX

At ZDNET, a leading web site and publisher they actively promote new software and run feature articles on file sharing. LIMEWIRE LimeWire makes finding music (and more) through the Gnutella network a snap. Unlike other versions of the Gnutella client, LimeWire automatically connects you to the network, so you never need to search for working IP addresses. It also gives priority downloads to users who upload files, giving freeloaders their just desserts.
IMESH This alternative file-sharing program features friendly imagery such as green worms and red ladybugs, and it lets you search  other users' hard drives for more than just music files-- there are also videos and software to be found.
BEARSHARE This is CNET's favorite interface for accessing the Gnutella network. BearShare makes Gnutella just as easy to use as Napster, and it lets you trade all types of files online--although you can limit your searches to MP3s if you so desire.
