Essentials of Corporate Fraud
By Tracey L. Coenen
Any individual considering a career as an internal auditor needs to have a basic understanding of corporate fraud. Essentials of Corporate Fraud is a handy and concise paperback desktop reference filled with tips, techniques, examples, exhibits and best practices. While most auditors will find this book too basic it is a worthwhile book to recommend to management as a fraud primer as it covers all the areas that should be addressed. The author, a seasoned fraud expert, keeps it simple and easy to understand for all levels of corporate management. Discussion of each of the types of fraud is straightforward leaving one room to research further if necessary. The price tag on this 199 page book may be a little hard to justify for your internal audit library but if you are looking for a basic primer to educate management then this is worthy to pass along.
