FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ACL BROADENS ENTERPRISE AUDIT AND COMPLIANCE SUPPORT
WITH LAUNCH OF NEW AIX AND LINUX SERVER SOFTWARE

New Server Editions Reduce Audit and Compliance Review Cycles
from Months and Weeks to Days

Vancouver, BC, February 19, 2004 - ACL Services Ltd., the leading global provider of audit and data analysis technology, today announced the launch of its newest client server solutions. With the addition of AIX and Linux Server Editions to its existing OS/390 product offering, ACL now provides a broader technology footprint to help organizations respond with confidence to increasingly tight financial and compliance deadlines. ACL™ Server Editions allow organizations to extend their enterprise analytics, harnessing the processing power, speed, and reliability of server technology to reduce audit and compliance review cycles from months and weeks to days.

By extending the robust analytics provided by the ACL Desktop product, the Server Editions enhance the ability of auditors, assurance analysts, and financial decision-makers to gain immediate access and greater visibility into corporate data. Through a consistent user interface, ACL provides a single point-of-view into enterprise data. Organizations can move seamlessly between all types of data sources - flat files or relational databases, spreadsheets or report files, on PCs or servers and mainframes - to access, analyze, and compare large volumes of transactional data. In today's stricter regulatory environment, this allows businesses to minimize risk, stop revenue leakage, and reduce fraud, while at the same time meeting compliance obligations.

"These additional server solutions extend the ACL technology infrastructure to better support continuous auditing and controls monitoring processes," says Harald Will, President and CEO of ACL Services. "Given increased demands for accuracy and integrity in financial reporting, organizations must leverage technology to validate the effectiveness of internal controls through analysis of transactional detail. This is the new standard given regulatory and stakeholder demands."

Powerful, non-intrusive ACL server software features read-only access that ensures data integrity by never compromising source data. ACL conforms to established data access profiles and security mechanisms, eliminating the need to modify enterprise applications or networks. ACL technology enables the independent testing and validation of transactions against business controls and operational policies, while avoiding IT scheduling constraints and the need for cumbersome data extractions.

"In today's business environment, all organizations need to look at validating their internal controls by testing transactional data at its source," says Lane Leskela, Research Director with Gartner Group. "With the advent of Sarbanes-Oxley, access and the ability to compare disparate data across enterprise systems is critical. Once organizations move beyond the current documentation phase, the next step will be testing their internal controls."
